The short version
- You keep your rights in the content you bring. Only upload or request material you have the right to use.
- AI output needs your review. We do not promise that a design is unique, rights-cleared or suitable for a particular printer.
- Save and export work you want to keep. Browser recovery, asset links and undo history are not permanent backups.
- Your statutory consumer rights remain intact. The business-only limitations below do not apply to consumers.
This summary helps you find the main points. The full terms below apply.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms are between you and papirro.com, which provides the services under the Papirro name (Papirro, we or us). They cover Papirro Create, Papirro Studio and their related creative-generation, editing and account features (the services). Read them before creating an account or using the services. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A business user uses the services for those activities or on behalf of an organisation. Provisions expressly marked as business-only apply only to business users. No term removes a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Any additional purchase, asset-licence or creator terms must be made available before the relevant transaction or submission. They apply only to that feature. A separately agreed written contract takes priority where it expressly changes these terms; these terms alone do not create a marketplace sale, print order or payout arrangement.
2. What Create and Studio do
Papirro Create uses your brief and conversation to generate and refine editable designs, including invitations, flyers, occasion cards, business cards, leaflets, booklets, postcards and planners. It offers previews, direct edits and PNG downloads. Signed-in generation can save a design as a Studio draft; opening it in Studio lets you continue editing that draft.
Papirro Studio lets you create or open templates, edit text and visual elements, manage pages and size variants, use uploaded assets, request AI changes, save designs and export previews. Available options depend on the creative type and the feature shown in the interface. Some actions need a working account, network connection or external service.
The services are creative tools, not a professional design review, legal clearance, printer certification or physical printing service. Sample designs and screen or 3D previews are illustrations of the tools, not a promise of a particular generated result or manufactured product.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to bind it. Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in methods, devices and email account. Do not share an account in a way that gives someone unauthorised access to another person's designs or assets.
Sign-in may use Google, LinkedIn or an email magic link. Those providers' own account terms also apply. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for actions you authorise through your account, but not for losses caused by our failure to meet obligations we cannot lawfully exclude.
When you submit a brief while signed out, Create can retain that brief in your browser while you sign in. Completing sign-in can automatically start the brief on the Create page. To cancel before starting sign-in, close the sign-in dialog. After a sign-in request starts, closing the dialog may leave the brief pending; it can run after you sign in unless the stored brief is cleared or expires. Do not leave a pending brief or signed-in account on a shared device.
4. Your content and permission to process it
Your content includes prompts, conversation text, reference images, uploaded files, logos, names and other material you provide, as well as your edits. You retain the rights you already hold in that content. You must have the licences, permissions and consents needed for us and our service providers to process it and for your intended use of the resulting design.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, resize, render and otherwise process your content only as needed to provide the features you request, maintain and secure the services, and comply with legal obligations. We may allow service providers to exercise those permissions for those purposes. This is not a transfer of ownership or a general permission to sell your private content.
That licence lasts only as needed for those purposes, including lawful retention and necessary backup handling. Public distribution or promotional reuse requires a separate basis, such as a publication request or your permission. These terms do not give us an unrestricted licence to use private content to train our own general-purpose models; external providers' data handling must be considered separately.
5. Generated output and third-party rights
As between you and Papirro, and to the extent permitted by law, you own the original output generated specifically for you; we assign to you any rights we may hold in that output. This does not transfer our software, tools, pre-existing templates or other users' content, and cannot transfer rights owned by someone else.
You may edit, download and use your designs for lawful personal or business purposes to the extent you have the necessary rights. Fonts, stock or reference images, logos and other third-party material can have separate licence restrictions, including restrictions on redistribution or use in templates for resale. You are responsible for checking those restrictions before commercial use or publication.
AI output may resemble other work or output generated for other users. We do not guarantee originality, exclusivity, copyright protection, trademark availability, or freedom from intellectual-property, privacy or publicity-rights claims. Permission to use our tools is not legal clearance of a design. Keep records of any permissions your use requires.
6. AI features and external services
AI can misinterpret instructions, invent details, make unwanted changes or produce inaccurate, biased or unsuitable material. Some Studio AI edits apply directly and may be saved automatically. Other changes require confirmation. Review generated text, images and edits, and use undo where available, before exporting or relying on them. Do not treat assistant responses as legal, medical, financial or safety advice or use them as the sole basis for consequential decisions about people.
Features may send your instructions, relevant conversation or design context, and reference images or image URLs to external services. Current integrations include OpenRouter for language-model processing and Runware for image generation and processing. Authentication, storage and related account features use Supabase; Google and LinkedIn can provide sign-in. The providers or models available may change.
Image-generation features may use provider search or reference capabilities. A returned image is not proof that every depicted element is licensed for your use. Providers may apply their own safety restrictions, usage conditions and data-handling policies. Do not submit confidential or sensitive material unless you have assessed the feature and the applicable privacy information. These terms do not promise that external providers never retain data or use it for training.
7. Acceptable use
Use the services lawfully and respect the rights and safety of others. In particular, you must not:
- Upload, generate, edit or distribute material that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, confidentiality or other rights, or that uses someone's likeness without a required permission.
- Create child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, unlawful threats, content inciting violence, or material facilitating serious harm.
- Use designs for fraud, phishing, deceptive impersonation, forged credentials, unlawful advertising or misleading claims of endorsement or authenticity.
- Introduce malicious files or code, probe or compromise another account, bypass authentication, evade safety controls or usage limits, or interfere with the services or their providers.
- Scrape, resell access to or automate use of the services without permission in a way that burdens the service or circumvents published limits. Reverse engineering restrictions do not apply where the law expressly permits the activity.
- Represent AI-generated material as independently verified, rights-cleared or human-created where doing so would deceive someone or breach a legal disclosure requirement.
We may decline or stop a request that breaches these rules or a provider's safety requirements. A request passing an automated check does not mean it is lawful or approved. Report suspected abuse or infringement through the contact details below.
8. Data, browser recovery and saved work
Account information, creative drafts and assets may be stored to operate the services. Create's conversation is not a permanent chat archive. Pending briefs and selected designs can be held in local or session browser storage for sign-in recovery; they do not preserve a complete conversation and are not a backup. Recovery entries can expire or become unavailable if you clear storage, change devices or use a shared browser.
Studio can keep assistant conversations in your browser, including conversations for unsaved drafts. Signing out does not necessarily clear that history. On shared devices, clear relevant chat history or site data after saving work you want to keep.
Signed-in generation can save a Studio draft automatically, but a failed write, interrupted connection or incomplete save can leave recent changes unsaved. Check the displayed save status and keep separate exports or copies of important work. Undo history, browser state, signed asset URLs and remote image links are not permanent storage or a guaranteed version history.
Removing an image from a design is different from deleting it from the asset library. Deleting a library asset can affect designs that reference it; deleting a design does not necessarily delete its underlying assets or browser recovery entries. Asset delivery may use signed URLs or public URL fallbacks. Do not treat an asset link as a confidential vault or share it as though access is permanently restricted.
These operational warnings are not a substitute for a privacy notice and do not authorise processing that data-protection law prohibits. Our handling of personal data remains subject to applicable data-protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 where applicable. Contact us for privacy information or to exercise your rights; we may need to verify your identity. We do not promise a particular retention period, immediate erasure of every backup, or restoration of deleted work through these terms.
9. Exports and printing
Review the actual downloaded file before publishing or ordering prints. Check wording, spelling, dates, contact details, image quality, page selection and order, dimensions, orientation, resolution, safe margins and bleed against your printer's requirements. Default print settings and a screen preview do not replace that check.
Screen colours and 3D mock-ups may differ from printed colour, paper, folds, finish and trimming. The export options shown in the interface determine what is available; these terms do not promise PDF, CMYK, physical manufacture or delivery. If you engage a printer, that is a separate agreement. You are responsible for print decisions and content errors you supply, but this does not exclude our responsibility for defective services or digital content where the law makes us responsible.
10. Review, publication and sharing
Saving a draft is not approval to publish or sell it. If you use a feature to submit a creative for review or publication, you authorise the handling and review needed for that request. You must have the rights to offer the submitted material for its proposed use and must provide accurate descriptions, licence information and any required disclosures.
Review is not a guarantee of legal clearance, acceptance, listing, sales or revenue. Marketplace purchases, creator payouts, resale rights and distribution licences require their own applicable agreement and supported transaction; none is promised merely because a price field or review status appears in Studio. Do not publish another person's private information or assets without permission.
11. Fees, changes to free access and refunds
These terms do not impose a subscription, credit purchase or generation fee simply because you create an account. If a paid feature is offered, its price, applicable taxes, usage allowance, billing period and cancellation conditions must be disclosed before you agree to pay. Recurring charges require your authorisation. A free feature or promotional allowance is not a promise of unlimited or permanently free access.
Any change to free access or future prices applies prospectively and must not create an undisclosed charge or rewrite a completed purchase. We will provide notice of material changes affecting an existing paid arrangement and any cancellation or refund rights the law requires.
UK consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for distance purchases, subject to statutory exceptions. Starting a paid service or supplying paid digital content immediately does not remove cancellation rights unless the applicable legal requirements, including any required express consent and acknowledgement, are satisfied. If a service has lawfully started during that period, any permitted deduction must reflect what was actually supplied.
Nothing here creates a blanket no-refunds rule. Rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content, services not performed with reasonable care and skill, cancellation, repeat performance, price reductions and refunds remain available where applicable. A rejected request, unavailable provider or service change does not automatically permit us to keep payment for a service we have not supplied. Contact us with the account and transaction details if you believe a charge or result needs review.
12. Availability and changes to the services
We may maintain, update or change the services for valid reasons, including security, legal requirements, provider changes and improvements to the tools. AI tasks, storage and exports can fail or be interrupted. No specific uptime, generation time, compatibility with every device, uninterrupted model availability or indefinite storage is promised unless separately agreed.
Changes must not remove statutory rights or obligations under an existing paid agreement. Where a material change or discontinuation affects such an agreement, we will give reasonable notice and the cancellation, refund or other remedies required by law. Where reasonably practicable and lawful, we will provide an opportunity to export saved work before a planned closure.
13. Suspension, removal and ending use
We may restrict a request, remove content or suspend access on reasonable grounds such as a serious or repeated breach of these terms, suspected fraud, a security threat, infringement, a legal requirement or misuse of a provider integration. Restrictions should be proportionate to the issue. Immediate action may be necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.
Where it is safe and lawful, we will explain a restriction and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond or remedy the issue. Contact us if you believe a decision was mistaken. We will not use a suspension to remove refund or other statutory rights. Access to work may be restricted where returning it would breach law or compromise another person's safety or rights.
You can stop using the services at any time and contact us about account closure. Export work you want to retain first. Closing an account or deleting a design does not reverse exports, copies you shared, completed transactions or legal retention obligations. Terms about accrued obligations, content rights, responsibility and disputes continue where their purpose requires it.
14. Our responsibility and your consumer rights
We are responsible for providing the services with reasonable care and skill and for meeting obligations that applicable law imposes. For consumers, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or if you and we contemplated it when the contract was made.
The AI, saving and print warnings describe genuine limits of the tools; they are not a waiver of your rights or our responsibility when we are at fault. If digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content because we failed to use reasonable care and skill, any applicable rights to repair or compensation remain available.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability, obligation or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The business-only cap and indemnity in the next section do not apply to consumers.
15. Additional terms for business users only
Subject to the non-excludable liabilities above and any separately agreed written warranties, the services and AI output are provided as available. We do not warrant an uninterrupted service, a particular commercial result, or that output is fit for an unstated purpose. To the extent the law permits, implied business warranties are excluded. You must assess whether the tools and output meet your business needs and maintain your own backups.
Subject to those same exceptions, we are not liable to business users for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, revenue, business opportunities, anticipated savings or goodwill. Our aggregate liability to a business user arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees that user paid us for the affected services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies only where lawful and reasonable and does not restrict remedies that cannot be limited.
A business user must indemnify us against a third-party claim and reasonable resulting costs to the extent caused by that user's unlawful content, lack of required permissions, or deliberate or materially negligent breach of the acceptable-use rules. This does not cover our breach, negligence or wrongdoing. We must notify you promptly, take reasonable steps to limit loss, and give you a reasonable opportunity to participate in the defence. Neither party may agree a settlement imposing an admission or obligation on the other without its consent, not to be unreasonably withheld.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms and non-contractual disputes relating to them are governed by the law of England and Wales. Business users agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule of law.
Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also use the courts where you live. If you live elsewhere, this choice of law and courts does not remove mandatory consumer protections or rights to use a local court that applicable law gives you.
Contact us first if you want us to try to resolve a problem informally. Doing so is not a condition of exercising your statutory rights or bringing proceedings, and does not shorten a legal limitation period. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or stop you from contacting a regulator or consumer-advice body.
17. Changes to these terms and general provisions
We may revise these terms for valid reasons such as changes to the services, law, security requirements or provider arrangements. We will identify the updated version and give reasonable notice of material changes. Where law requires consent, notice and continued use alone do not replace it. Changes do not retrospectively alter accrued rights, completed purchases or an existing fixed-term agreement without a lawful basis.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue so far as lawful. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may transfer contractual rights only with our consent or where the law permits; we may transfer our obligations only where doing so does not reduce your contractual or statutory protection, with notice where required. No other person gains enforcement rights merely from these terms.
18. Contact and legal notices
For questions about these terms, privacy requests, account closure, billing concerns, abuse reports or legal notices, contact papirro.com using the email below. Include enough detail to identify the issue, such as the relevant design or transaction reference. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or unnecessary sensitive personal data.
An infringement report should identify the work or right claimed, the location of the disputed material, your contact details and your authority to act. We may ask for information needed to assess the report and may preserve information or restrict access where legally required. A report is not a court determination that a right has been infringed.
